CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ACTIVATION WITH NIKE

Right before the Champions League Final, we transformed the ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT store in Munich with a special jersey takeover featuring PSG and Inter Milan jerseys celebrating the big game.

 

The highlight: ViscaBarca and David Rau joined us on-site! Together with the kids, they brought the energy from fun challenges to memorable photo moments. It was a day full of passion and play, perfectly kicking off a historic Champions League final.

Puma invited ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT to the official launch of the Puma x KidSuper collection for the Club World Cup 25 in New York City. We gained exclusive insights and took a close look at the phenomenal jerseys and shoes.

And that’s not all! Together with Puma and content creator David Rau, we appeared on the world’s biggest stage: Times Square!

TEAMSPORT EXPERTS x ERIMA –
PLAYING AND WINNING TOGETHER

What happens when 78 industry professionals, 45 partner companies, and passion come together? An event that leaves a mark. 

In May 2025, the 4th TEAMSPORT EXPERTS meeting took place at ERIMA, including partners from Austria for the first time, a strong signal for our shared path in TEAMSPORT. From insights into logistics and history to honest discussions about market trends and challenges, ERIMA proved to be a true enabler.
The highlight: a group visit to the Stuttgarter Wasn. A big thank-you to everyone at ERIMA for this successful meeting.

ABSOLUTE RUN – STRONG GROWTH AND NEW MOMENTUM

ABSOLUTE RUN looks back on an outstanding first half of 2025, with sales increasing by 45% (excluding expansion) and all locations reporting strong growth.

Especially encouraging is the influx of many new, younger customers who are drawn in by the community focus and regularly sold-out events. Key growth drivers include exclusive running products, high-impact launch campaigns, and optimized consultation and insole processes.

Highlights included the opening of ABSOLUTE RUN – ALL ATHLETES, the two-day season kick-off training with around 100 employees in Mainhausen, and the Owner Meeting at the Rotterdam Marathon.

OUTDOOR EXPERTS X OM 5 – OUTDOOR YOU CAN TOUCH

From June 22–24, the MESSE CAMPUS MAINHAUSEN hosted over 200 brands and SPORT 2000 retailers from all seven partner countries. In the HOME OF EXPERTS, everything revolved around knowledge, exchange, and inspiration, from marketing and IT to GREEN VISION and new service offerings.

A special highlight was the lakeside get-together for 600 guests where we raised funds for ANWR GROUP’s children’s charity. At SV Zellhausen’s campsite event, 11 brands presented over 60 tent models, creating authentic outdoor vibes with campfires, campers, and community spirit.

MISSION OUTDOOR – Fresh Focus, Record Participation!

The campaign relaunch has thrilled SPORT 2000 partners and OUTDOOR EXPERTS alike. With a premium customer magazine, offered in two distinct versions to accommodate the specialization level of the target audience, and a free marketing package, MISSION OUTDOOR emphasizes emotional storytelling across social media, YouTube, POS, and direct marketing rather than pure product presentation.

The new approach speaks directly to consumers’ outdoor passions, delivering strong results: 96 participating retailers, including 34 OUTDOOR EXPERTS and many returnees. A strong season start and proof of the new strategy’s success.

OUTDOOR.MARKT-TROPHY 2025 –DOUBLE HONOR FOR SPORT 2000

Two awards went to SPORT 2000: Margit Gosau and Dominik Solleder were named Outdoor Personalities of the Year. For the first time, the trophy was awarded to two individuals, representing the entire team.

This award recognizes the joint commitment, expertise, and passion driving success in outdoor retail, honoring the strong collaboration between SPORT 2000 partners, brands, and the Outdoor Division shaping the market through innovation and teamwork.

RUNNING EXPERTS X OM 4 - RETAIL IN MOTION

RUNNING

New products, packed halls, strong discussions clearly demonstrated the dynamic power of the specialist retail sector at the RUNNING EXPERTS x OM 4 fair. With 30% more visitors, five full halls, and a clear focus on innovation and progress, the event showed just how strong the RUNNING COMMUNITY really is.

In a highlight video, Fabian Riedmüller from the RUNNING DIVISION guides viewers through the best moments, showing what remains after the trade show buzz fades. A big thank-you to the MESSE CAMPUS MAINHAUSEN team and everyone involved. Together, we truly live our motto: HOME OF EXPERTS.

ABSOLUTE RUN WATERLOO – NEW HOTSPOT IN BELGIUM

On September 11, the 16th ABSOLUTE RUN location opened in Waterloo, a 200 m² store that connects the worlds of running and cycling.

The transformation of an existing bike shop created space for a premium running concept featuring brands such as Asics, Brooks, Hoka, New Balance, Saucony, and Nike. Precise running analyses are enabled by the FootBalance system. Entrepreneur and triathlete Hugues Menschaert combines passion and expertise in retail.

Weekly community runs and regional running events make the store a true hub for the local running community, marking another milestone in the ABSOLUTE RUN expansion.

WINTERSPORT

Center of Excellence Wintersport (CoE) –
Working Together Toward the 2026/27 Season

Preparations for the 2026/27 winter season are in full swing at the Center of Excellence Wintersport. A structured go-to-market process, developed in cooperation with countries, retail partners, and brands, ensures clarity and strong results.

During the briefing with the five core markets at the end of May, the focus was on market analyses, retailer structures, and brand partnerships. Follow-up preview meetings discussed new products and opportunities for joint optimization. The goal is a successful season based on solid insights and close collaboration.

Further milestones included the International Preline Meeting in September, the Retail & Rent Focus Groups in October, and the National Preline Meeting in November. Many thanks to all partners for their trustful cooperation.

The winter sports campaign “We Know Snow” enters its second season with a fresh new design, reinforcing SPORT 2000’s position as a leading expert in winter sports.

As part of the international “We Know Sport” campaign, it celebrates the expertise, consulting skills, and passion of SPORT 2000 retailers. Emotional visuals, strong messages, and collaborations with key brand partners make “We Know Snow” an authentic stage for everyone who loves winter. The goal is to inspire customers through expertise and genuine connection to the sports community, both online and at the point of sale.

ZipFit Training at SPORT 2000 – Tuning for the Feet

In September, a practical ZipFit training session took place in Mainhausen with partners Tecnica and Sidas.

The focus was on product knowledge, sales processes, and fitting workshops, with real hands-on learning for the sales floor. Particularly valuable were the group discussions and the analog handout, which helped participants transfer what they learned into daily practice. Participants provided direct feedback and took home new insights for improved customer consultation.


This is expertise in action and a tangible benefit for the customer. Thanks to all involved for a strong day full of partnership and expertise.

SPORT 2000 TRAININGS-CAMP –
FULL COMMITMENT FOR MORE EXPERTISE

Two days of hands-on practice, movement, and exchange at the first SPORT 2000 TRAINING CAMP of the TRAINING/SPORTSTYLE DIVISION at Seehotel Niedernberg focused entirely on knowledge, fitness, and teamwork.

 

Around 40 participants joined intensive workshops with Adidas, PUMA, Nike, and BLACKROLL, covering yoga, Hyrox, and fitness.

 

Between sweating, testing, and discussions, something no manual can teach emerged: genuine team spirit and renewed motivation for the sales floor.

ADIDAS SUPERSTAR WHOLESALE ACTIVATION –
STREET CULTURE TRIFFT HANDEL

In September, ORANGE JUNGLE Erfurt became a hotspot for music, fashion, and community. To celebrate the iconic ADIDAS SUPERSTAR, the store transformed into a club where street culture and retail collided.
 

300 guests, invited via giveaway, enjoyed an exclusive concert by Berlin rapper Apsilon live on site. The event showcased how brand worlds and youth culture can merge authentically, urban, and emotionally. The evening made ORANGE JUNGLE the meeting place for a new generation of sneaker and music fans. A big thank you to Adidas for making this event happen together with sneaker.de!

FROM “BOLLENHUT” TO “TANNENZÄPFLE”: PUMA CELEBRATES REGIONAL ICONS

The GREEN VISION Podcast

goes far beyond sustainability and also examines social responsibility. In Episode 43, host Ralf Kerkeling talks with ethnologist and anti-racism trainer Rachel Etse about racism in sports and everyday life.

Rachel explains that racism is not only loud and obvious but also often subtle and structural, found in language, behavior, and stereotypes. She clarifies the difference between ideology and everyday discrimination and shares insights from her work with young athletes and the SPORT 2000 team.

This powerful episode opens eyes, broadens perspectives, and shows why we all have a role to play in sports, retail, and daily life.

Am 7. Februar 2025 hat der 15. ABSOLUTE RUN-Store im belgischen Brügge eröffnet. Konzeptgeber SPORT 2000 treibt damit die Internationalisierung des Spezialisten-Formats im großen Stil weiter voran. 2025 soll sich die Anzahl der Stores auf 20 Türen in Zentraleuropa erhöhen.

Mit der Eröffnung von ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT Thessaloniki wächst das internationale Netzwerk weiter: Der 46. Store ist der erste Standort in Griechenland. Damit ist ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT nun in 12 Ländern vertreten.

 

Nach Sofia und Plowdiw ist es bereits der dritte Store des Partners SPORT DEPOT.

ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT CONTINUES SUCCESFUL EXPANSION: 

In August, we opened the 50th store in Maribor with our Slovenian partner GOLGETER. Shortly after, ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT Elvesport launched in Bratislava, marking our entry into the Slovak market. Our partner is the experienced company SportFotbal, who has been active in team sports retail for over 23 years, holding exclusive rights for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

With 51 stores across 15 countries, the concept continues to grow, driven by strong local expertise, reliable partnerships, and a clear international strategy.

MCR Store Opening Siegen:

On November 14, 2025, the second MCR Store opens in Siegen with over 700 m² of retail space. Experience zones will cover Sportstyle, Training, Running, Kids, Outdoor, Swim/Beach, and a temporary Winter Sports area.
 

A pre-opening will take place on November 13, 2025, alongside the ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT store next door.

ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT
PARTNER SUMMIT 2025 – TEAM SPIRIT AT ITS BEST!

At the end of September, the ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT community gathered at the beautiful Das Achental resort at Lake Chiemsee in Grassau for three inspiring days with over 90 participants, including nearly all national and international partners.

The program included presentations, interactive workshops, and a variety of sports offerings from golf and mountain biking to yoga and wellness. The highlight was a joint evening at the Sonnenalm hut, bringing the ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT community together in an alpine atmosphere.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and to adidas for outfitting all attendees!

ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT
PERIMETER ADVERTISING – TOP-LEVEL VISIBILITY

Together with our partners Skechers and Mizuno, ABSOLUTE TEAMSPORT appeared on advertising boards during the second half of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season, including the Rhein-Main derby between Mainz 05 and Eintracht Frankfurt.
 

Another highlight was our presence at the sold-out Franz Beckenbauer Supercup in the MHPArena, with over 60,000 fans and broadcast globally to 200 countries.

As of January 1, 2026, Margit Gosau will hand over the management of SPORT 2000 GmbH to Dominik Solleder, in order to focus fully on the international growth as CEO of SPORT 2000 International GmbH.
